Zylocon Batch, next generation
In developmentThe next Zylocon Batch, built for the plant you already have.
A new batch control system for the same plants, the same hardware and the same operators. It keeps what works about the batch screen your operators know and rebuilds everything underneath it.
It hasn’t run at a plant yet. Until it has, and until you choose to switch, your current Zylocon Batch stays in charge and stays supported.
What stays the same
Changing batch software shouldn’t mean rewiring a panel or retraining a crew.
Your hardware
Built for Opto 22 Optomux I/O, Grayhill relay racks and the serial scale indicators already in Zylocon plants.
Your data
Uses the same plant database as your current system, so mixes, materials and history carry over.
Your operators
One batch screen laid out the way operators already work, so the crew doesn’t start from zero.
Your dispatch link
Takes tickets over ULink from your dispatch system, as today.
What’s new
Written from the ground up in modern, tested code, with safety designed in rather than added on.
Designed to fail safe
- If the batch computer loses contact with the I/O, outputs switch off on their own
- On a fault, an abort or a crash, nothing is left energized
- It can’t drive real equipment until each plant’s wiring has been checked and signed off
A clear batch sequence
- Weighing, discharge and mixing run as explicit, recorded steps
- Every step a batch takes is stored, so you can see exactly what happened to a load
- Material weights checked against tolerance at every stage
Better around the edges
- Modern ticket printing and reports
- A settings editor in place of hand-edited configuration
- Simpler setup of a replacement plant computer
Tested in simulation against recorded plant traffic and a virtual plant, with thousands of automated tests. It hasn’t run a real batch at a plant yet.
How it reaches a plant
One plant at a time, with your current system as the fallback at every step.
Step 1
Around the edges first
Ticket printing, reports and settings move over first, while your current system keeps batching.
Step 2
Side by side
The new system runs alongside the current one on the same database and is checked against it.
Step 3
First supervised batch
After a wiring check and sign-off, the first real batch runs with us on site.
Step 4
Your call
You decide when it takes over. Until then, nothing changes for your operators.

The operators and plant managers using Zylocon Batch every day know where it slows them down. Their feedback shapes what we build next.
