We regularly hear from potential customers that one factor preventing them from replacing their struggling concrete batch system is their belief that all batch computers are complicated and they do not want to learn a new system. It’s unfortunate that many concrete producers have this opinion. Not because it is untrue, but because it doesn’t have to be.

Zylocon’s concrete batch systems and other products have always focused on being as user-friendly as possible. We will always focus on our products being as user-friendly as possible. The reality is, however, that other suppliers either cannot or will not focus on this important aspect.

This has not been true for all companies and at all times. There was a time decades ago where companies creating concrete batch computers absolutely focused on the customer. This was when ready mix concrete batching systems were new, and you had to convince customers of the need for automation, the ROI from the purchase and provide the confidence the customer’s team could operate the product.

Over time, as concrete batch computers became more accepted and then became mainstream until finally becoming near necessary for government projects, many suppliers who re-invented their products put no emphasis on being easy to use. Existing suppliers did this because it took more money than simply getting a new product out the door and new suppliers did this oftentimes because the engineers they use had never seen a concrete plant. They were simply developing software for a process and not for a user.

The truth is a very tiny fraction of batch system suppliers focus on their products being user-friendly any more. Zylocon happens to be at the forefront of that group. Zylocon constantly works to ensure every part of our products is easy while still being affordable. We ask our customers for feedback. We listen to our customer’s requests and suggestions. At the end of the day, our goal is the make the best products possible. Listening to our customers only helps us which in turn helps our customer and all customers in the future.
